Both
terminals have three tracks each measuring 3,000ft long. One track has a paved
runway along its entire length, and the areas alongside the other two tracks will
be paved as traffic volumes increase. In addition, there is space within each
terminal to add three more 3,000ft long rail tracks, when required. |

Shop | | |
Located at the Atlantic
Intermodal Terminal, the Colon maintenance facility consists of a workshop, parts
storage and fueling facility for the service and repair of locomotives, freight
cars, passenger cars, maintenance of way equipment, shop and yard equipment, container
handling cranes, and vehicles. It is large enough to accommodate four
locomotives and the Mi-Jack overhead container-handling crane at the same time.
It is fully equipped with air, hydraulic and electric tools to perform service,
maintenance and restoration work on all of the rolling stock and equipment. |
